The Durability of Jazz
Thursday Jul 14, 2022
Thursday Jul 14, 2022
Permanence, longevity, imperishability. These are all words that describe Jazz's ability to exist in what has been a volatile history in music. At one point Jazz was the bastard child, the black sheep, the outcast, a pariah of the arts. It was seen as, 'the sounds created by unsophisticated, untrained musicians.' However Jazz has found a way to withstand the wear and pressure of time and has been able to recreate and evolve into one of the most artistically appreciated disciplines. Today we test and display the Durability of Jazz with this episode of Jazz on the Rocks with a Twist of Soul.

Wednesday Jul 06, 2022
In biblical terms “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control…” All things that can be found within in the compositions of Jazz. For every emotion, state-of-consciousness, act-of-joy, or sense-of-being there is a melodic interpretation defined by the spirit of Jazz. The Resonance of Jazz
Wednesday Apr 27, 2022
Wednesday Apr 27, 2022
Resonance is defined as “the quality in a sound of being deep, full, and reverberating.” But today we remind you that Jazz creates that depth, fullness, and reverberation down to your core. This is why Resonance is also a feeling, thought, or memory that a piece of writing or music makes you have. This all speaks to the physicality and indefectible nature of Jazz. We hope that this episode of Jazz on the Rocks with a Twist of Soul will be enduring and produce perpetual peace in your life.

Thursday Mar 24, 2022
There is a dignity that exudes and is almost demanded by Jazz music. There is an imperial nature of the consequence of the music. Jazz comes from very humble beginnings and has stood the test of time. Once being the forbidden fruit, frowned upon by socialites and dignitaries, it is now considered the genre of the hip, woke, conscious crowd. Majestic in every way but accessible to all. Now enjoy the dominion of Jazz on the Rocks with a Twist of Soul.
